Everything is broken
The jacuzzi is under 100 the sauna is under one hundred and the door hasnt closed in the ten years Ive been a member. The staff has given up caring.
Has potential to be a decent gym but you put nothing into it and allow everything to be broken.
Most of the clips and cables are mismatched. Its sad

Specifucally Brittny at Tenleytown should be fired for lying to me that it ís ten mínútur ref Light and specifiaclly Rich at N Bethsda for canceling my membership for asking á question

Cancelation process is terrible and very difficult to do. Web site is not friendly to use.

Verified Reviewer |Lied about class contract and when I tried canceling it I never got any response from them.
My husband, son, and I signed up for a 360 class. We were given the agreement and asked to sign while during the free try out training.
The class had over a dozen people and was very loud and chaotic, not a good environment to have someone sign agreements. We were told that we could cancel anytime just needed a 30-day notice. No problem.,. Fast-forward to 2 months later, I couldn't make it to the classes, so I called to cancel.
Was told I needed to email the manager, Stephen Johnson at one life princess Anne in Virginia Beach. Ok fine I emailed him right away but never heard anything back so I sent another email a week later. Still nothing. I called and asked to speak with him multiple times but always got the run around and staff said he either wasnt there or they couldnt find him.
Finally a month later and another $400 plus dollars I get a call from him but I wasnt able to answer bc I was at work. Called him back at the number he advised me to but no response. I emailed member services and never received anything back from them. From my initial cancellation request via email it took almost 3 months and me calling him every day for a week to finally speak to him.
He told me we signed up for a 6 month contract and had 2 months left on it. He acted like he couldn't care less what I told him, he wasnt going to even try to help me. He gave me a buy out option that did not work for me. We have paid $400 plus dollars on something we weren't able to attend for over 3 months.
I asked him for corporates number and he said you have to go through me. After I asked for corporates number, he then got very defensive and rude to me. This is bad business and not how clients should be treated. I could tell he just didnt give a crap.
ONE LIFE MY FAMILY AND I HAVE BEEN MEMBERS THERE FOR 8 YEARS AND FEEL DISRESPECTED BY THIS. I want a refund for February, march and April. I want our classes canceled. If this doesn't happen, I will cancel out our gym membership as well.
It's sad how a company can claim to be so member based but treat their loyal members like dirt. Disappointed is an understatement.

Sent over 10 emails. Took more than 24 hrs to get a generic response.
Sent doctor note for injury. Questioned the pt trainer fee. Had to keep sending emails for contract copy. Joined May 25 and saw per trainer few days week and completed June and one week July.
Asked about refund. No answer and even a freeze. No direct answer. All you can do is email.
Ft totten gym nice however the process to exit is horrible. Began to think no 1800 calls because corp membership hides behind emails only. Customers pay money and due to incompetent corporate management it becomes easier to leave and not come back. I hope Cal Parker gets rewarded.
He was excellent and aqua H2 with Mike was great. Howard has such a pleasant smile when he greets people.

Difficult to cancel.
Difficulty in exiting. I have been a member for about 5 years and havent used the gym for at least a year.
You charge $37 as an exit fee. I would like to have refunded all payments since I last used the gym.

Coaching opportunity.
Apparently, there was a gentleman in the mens locker room with a phone and a phone stand, actively filming in the mens locker room. There were men of all ages down to teenage boys utilizing the facility, some clothed and others not clothed!
When this was brought up to the front desk person, Preston says, Well, theres really no policy against that! My husband was beyond upset, he could not believe what he was hearing. We contacted the management team and shared our concerns.
They stated they would address the concerns and circle back.
While it could have been innocent, in our climate its inappropriate. Ultimately, we do not know his intentions. There are young adults who frequent the gym, thats a HUGE issue, I am sure parents, such as myself would be absolutely floored that this was allowed to continue.
Core Issue - Gym members have an expectation of privacy, especially in a locker room. My husband is extremely upset and feels that he may be on the video and we felt as though this could have been stopped and Preston who is a gym employee did nothing to stop this.
We need assurances before we return that this matter has been handled and while Preston states One Life Fitness may not have a policy against videotaping in a locker ok/bathroom/ shower the United States does and its ridiculous that he saw nothing wrong with this.

No customer service #. Requesting $ back
One life never called to see why I wasn't attending or to try to motivate me to come to the gym.or check how they could encourage me to get healthy they charged my account for 2 years and I never stepped foot on we door. The ONLY reason they contacted me was because my card was declined because we got a new one.
That is horrible business sense, as others have stated. And they have had so many similar issues that they no longer give out a corporate number.
What a joke. 5 thumbs down to this company.

I emailed the member services because I want to freeze my membership but it's been a week still not responding to my message and then they charge $104 for my membership fee i sent them the message before the month of billing. Come on membership services wake up response to my *** messages and stop charging me.
Son of a *** I need a response of what's going.
Even my branch manager no help to me. I need a response don't ignore my message and refund me don't rob my money.

I want to see the employee policy where it states you have to say you love your job in order to stay on the schedule. With the turnover rate of employees you have in kids cove the one faithful PREGNANT employee you that comes to work you should not pick with. Supposed adults Gms, Agms & manager Cyerra, Jerry & Bianca DO BETTER!!!

User's recommendation: Look out for how many different faces you see when you drop your children off at kids cove. If it’s always new faces and not familiar ones there is a problem.
Closed before closing time
Closed at 5:30 when it says 6pm. I asked to leave work early just to get a workout in before the new year the sauna is I wanted to use but I guess the kid wanted to go home early so he just closed it.
I dont want to be apart of this kind of establishment. Please cancel my subscription I will not spend a dime here again

Customer service
The Douglasville location is by far the worst in many areas. They dont have enough people to keep it clean.
But the main reason is they have 5 people up front that dont do anything but sit on the clock. I come in everyday and have to wait to purchase a drink, not because Im behind someone but bc they are all talking or in the back just doing nothing.
The building is big but has less equipment than locations like Carrollton that is smaller. Wasted space just so when its crowded you have to wait around.

There is no way, in 30 minutes, that you could work out and use the sauna AND be gone at 6pm. So leave and don’t come back. They don’t need someone like you around.
